What families ask us
Will the bank refund us if it happens anyway?
Often not, and that's the nasty surprise. In these scams the victim approves the transfer themselves, so banks refuse and call it gross negligence. Courts are starting to side with victims when the manipulation was genuinely convincing, but it takes months of fighting. That's why we step in before: two minutes of doubt beat a year of paperwork.
Will I see what my parent spends?
No. The current version of Veillons is not connected to any bank account and cannot access spending. It only checks the message a person chooses to paste into the app.
How do I know my children won't use this against me?
The current version does not connect family members or send them anything. You choose which message to check and only you see the answer on your phone.
Do you read my texts and emails?
No. Veillons cannot access your inbox or your texts. You choose the text to copy and paste. It is used to produce the answer, then Veillons does not retain it.
Can you access their money?
No. Veillons is not connected to any bank account, never asks for banking credentials and cannot see or move money.
Do you block transfers?
No. Only a bank can block a transfer. Veillons helps you recognise danger and explains what to do, but it never acts on your accounts.
Will it go off for nothing?
Automatic protection is optional and can be turned off at any time in settings. When enabled, Veillons alerts you only when an unknown text on iPhone or a messaging notification on Android appears dangerous. Its assessment is decision support, not an absolute guarantee.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The app is free: no ads, no subscription, no in-app purchases. There is no paid tier unlocking anything, and nothing to cancel. If we ever charged for something, it would be announced clearly and in advance, never as a surprise on your statement.
What do you do with our data?
It stays in France. We don't sell it and we run no advertising. You can erase everything from your account, without writing to us or calling.
